Login: | Bristol & District Premier League Week 3 ReportPersistent Peach leads Rhiwbina to the top of the table
In a battle between top 100 SquashLevels players, Ameeshen went 2-0 up on James Peach, but Peach used his tight shorts and tight width to fight back and secure a 3-2 victory in an instant classic. Another dominant display by Lewis Poole and battling victories for Evan Davies-Clarke and skipper Alex Rowlands ensured Rhiwbina take top spot going into Week 4. Wyvern claimed maximum points against Redland A who were missing the influential duo of Dave Allman and Isaac Rawcliffe to injury, Luke Bishop handing Harry Anderson his first loss of the season, 3-1. James Rew made his debut for Wyvern and had his opponent Mike Nichols stumped with his array of shots. Mike was often caught behind James and couldn’t move him off the T in a 3-0 loss. Ioan Sharpe continued his unbeaten start to the season with a 3-0 win over Workout A’s Jack Alcock, but his was the only success for Redland B as Andy Lowe, Wai Yhann and George Keeble ensured Workout A took the bonus points. Lansdown secured back-to-back victories by winning on the road at Workout B. A 5-0 victory was only prevented after the mercurial Antoine Riehl was forced to retire at 2-0 up on Kanhav Nanavati. Jake Vickery was again the star performer, coming back from 8-4 down in the fifth to defeat Ollie Hughes. Long-standing Bristol league players Chris Wood, Andy Ewings and Tim Jones also took victories against the home side. Week 3 Results Week 4 Fixtures (to be played Tuesday 24 October)
